Default Does Warbird Colors paint need clear coat?

Warbird Colors primer and paint was used on my TF P-40. The supplied crosslinking additive was added to each coat of paint and primer. The instructions say that the crosslink additive makes the primer/paint fuel proof up to 15% nitro. To me, I think that means I don't need to add clear coat. Is that true?

To those that have used Warbird Colors, what did you do?

Thanks,
Juice

You don't need a clear coat if you use the crosslinker.

Juice I use a clear coat when I need to sand areas where there is a color transition that I used tape on, or where I used stencils the clear removes the scratch marks and gives some depth to the paint, but isn't needed if you use the cross linker.

some of the colors have a bit more shine to them and the satin clear obviously makes those areas more consistent, when I was doing my invasion stripes and stars and bars on my TF P-47, there was some of the ridges that needed a little sanding, and the blue,Wt, and black, were a little glossy, after a light sanding and a shot of the clear the scratches from the sanding were undetectable, with a nice even satin sheen.
