Default ESM Hurricane and 30cc engine?

I am looking for some opinions. Is a 30cc gas motor enough power for the ESM 82" Hurricane? It is a Syssa 30cc motor which is pretty much the same as a O.S. 1.60 stroke and a Saito 1.80 4-stroke.

Thanks,
Tony

It's claimed that a 26cc engine will fly the ESM Hurricane. A video is on you-tube with one being flown with a 1.80fs quite scale-like. Many people like having loads of extra power. h
However, the plane itself is listed to be a 40+cc, so one must make their own conclusions from there.
I have this plane and have a few engines lined up for it. The biggest problem with this plane is that we all hate to hack up the small cowling to make the engine fit.

Thanks for that link. I think if it performs ok with a Saito 1.80 it will do fine with the Syssa 30cc gas motor. I don't plan on adding any detail so it should not weigh more than 18 lbs.

Thanks,
Tony
