Good Hinge For Flaps from HK
 

I found these the other day and thought I'd pass it along. I would have used them on my TFGS Corsair but I've already finished that one. Fairly inexpensive - I ordered 20 and they were less than a buck each including shipping.

I have looked at those and wondered how well they would look or holdup to giant scale warbird vibrations.

They seem very "heavy duty" to me. There is a socket head cap screw (probably the metric equivalent to 2-56) at the pivot, and the material is very stiff, about 1/8" thick. If I had put them in my Corsair's flaps I would not be worried about the hinge giving out. I bought them because I'm a hoarder when it comes to stuff you can never find when you need it!

My Composite Arf ! / 4.5 Corsair has this type, slightly different shape. I hear good things about Phenolic hinges. In fact the entire plane has this type of hinge.

I hear ya' on hoarding stuff.
The way the economy is, I feel a lot of products may not be re-produced once they are gone (plus, I hate working on a project and find that I'm missing a product to continue building!).
This is especially true on retracts: I won't buy a kit unless retracts are included as so many have been discontinued or the chance of getting them is 'months down the road' whereas I'll buy a set of retracts, knowing I can always get the plans/kit.
