Warbird events in PA??? (or Mid Atlantic region)

Hello fellow warbird enthusiasts, would anybody happen to know of any warbird events in the northeast this summer?? im willing to travelas far as eastern jersey, southern NY, and northern Maryland. Ive seen a few events in the AMA backpages, but wasnt sure if anybody was having any unposted warbird fly ins.

You just missed Warbirds over Fredericksburg. It was a great event with Mac Hodges and his B-29 and many other great warbirds performing. See us next year in Thornburg at The Fredericksburg Area Radio Control Club field.

Sincerely, Richard/Club SAITO #635

We are about an hour south of Wash. DC and about the same from Richmond VA. We are right off of 95 and have food and lodging and other amenities within 10 minutes of our field. Camping is available but without any hookups, but porta potties and wash up stations were there. On-field food and drink was available and a terrific pilots dinner served Saturday night. The event was Fri, Sat and Sunday. We had notices here on RCU and there is a thread with Mac Hodges and others comment. See you next year.

Hello from Va. Beach! Tidewater Radio Control will be holding the "Warbirds over the Atlantic" at the Military Aviation Museum here at Va. Beach on 23-25 September. This will be IMAA sanctioned, giant scale only. We will be using the museum's 4000' grass runway, and the landing fee ($25) includes access to the museum's large collection of flying warbirds. Google "Warbirds over the Beach 2011" and you'll see pics from last month's WW2 airshow. Last year we had their P-51 mustang "Double Trouble too" fly during the noon time show. The site is only about 15 minutes from the Va. Beach resort area, so your families have a lot to do here. I will be sending out more details in August. Mark your calendars!!

Warbirds Over Fredericksburg is an up and coming premerier warbird event. Dispite the tree that hates J-3 Cubs, he he he, its a fantastic field and you could'nt ask for better hospitality. My hats off to all the members for a real tree climbing memorable time. I would and do endorse this warbird event. With that being said, Warbirds Over Delaware is the Grand Daddy of warbird events. Its the furthest I travel to any warbird event and worth every mile.
