I picked this model up, 90%built, at our nationals swapmeet end august, i have a fuselage plan, but no wing plan, its not listed on his list of plans anymore, does anyone have any info on this facinating bird? its 1/4scale, i have the litho plated fuzz, and detachable tailplane, finshed wing, with flaps, ready for glassing, all the cowl moldings, crankcase molding. ply wheel &glass wheel pant parts, pants, has anyone any info at all on this rare model? it was a steal at £110, about$165 looking forward to seeing it finished sometime if anyone can put up a picture of the wing plan, it would be very usefull

Wow ! A Don Smith 1/4 scale P-26? I never knew that even existed. Would love to have one of those. Definetly a rare find as it doesn't even show up in the 20yr.old cataloges I still have.
Maybe try to find a set of Royal plans and have the wing enlarged. There is a guy that sells them on E-bay.

Good luck.

Dan Santish of Model Airplane News had a Peashooter that size. They were sold thru the magazine. I KNOW I built one that size from those plans. Stuka Jon

His son is running things now.

You might want to email or call him to see what is going on with the peashooter plans.

Here is the web page. http://www.dansantichmodels.net/dansantich

Here is the link to the Peashooter page but it's not ready yet. http://www.dansantichmodels.net/peashooter.html

For those interested, I did find a listing for the FG parts from fiberglass specialties in the model airplae news section. Cool!

Good digging WM. I looked on that site and only saw the hots and other planes under Dan's name. That's a lousy job of cross referencing their parts.

GENTLEMEN, much embarassment, i have just got the plane and plans in the workshop, to have a look at what work needs doing, and i noticed( actually, it slapped me in the face) that the plans are actually those distributed through model airplane news, by Dan Santich, i have NO idea why i claimed they where by Don Smith must be brain fade!!!! ( Dan, Don, easy enough boo boo, innit?)ANYWAY, i see one of you built one, what do they fly like? and what engine did you use? its STILL a cheap model, and i feel lucky i got it, BUT, i still go no wing plans

That's cool. Now hurry up and get it built so you can fly it at the Dan Santich Fly In next October.

I always thought the P-26 was a really neat looking airplane. Can you post a few pictures of it at the current stage?

I plan on building one of these in the future. This engine would look sweet on the nose of this plane.

Wll, what can i say, plans supplied by a forum member ( you know who you are) many many thanks to you all that have helped with this, now, although i have the centre crancase molding, i notice that there is an engine and crackcase molding available, next part of the quest is to get in touch with the plan provider, and the compnay listed up above, and see if a 1 piece unit is still available,

you have done great guys, many thanks, hope your new year is a great one, as for photos, that would involve 2 words tech, and ology, i just havent figured out how to bring them together yet, dont even own a digital camera!! cell phones a nokia 6310, no camera on that either!!

Hello
Anyone compared the Santich plans with the Jim Pepino plans? The Santich have no flap area and are (to my semi-trained eye) not very detailed as to servo mounting, engine mounting. On the other hand Fiberglass Specialists (FS) have the cowl and pants. Wonder if the FS parts would fit the 80"WS Pepino bird?
Any comments appreciated.
Thanks
