Ramstein44 03-13-2014 08:46 AM

Are you going to make the wings the same as you did on the 109?

fokke 03-13-2014 09:02 AM

Nop , I 'll make the wings by two parts under the fuselage

Warbird AL 03-13-2014 02:20 PM

Looking awesome,, are you an engineer by chance?

Interesting site about FW 190 D-13/R11 W.Nr. 836017 "Yellow 10"

AZThud 03-16-2014 12:07 PM

Thanks for posting the link, as I live in Phoenix I was lucky enough to see the Champlin display and Yellow 10 before things were moved to Seattle. It was a shame to see it leave Mesa, but the new home sure looks to do the planes justice.

Fokke I am really liking your build and am anxious to get my hands on the kit!

Keep up the good work and good luck,

Cheers

fokke 03-16-2014 12:48 PM

Yes Rick , the story of this airplane is very interesting. This is the only long-nose D-13 to have survived the WW2

Before 2 years ago someone told me that warbirds should be smooth and clean :)))))) ;)

OK. I have to be sure. Is that a real P-47 or a model?

fokke 03-19-2014 01:12 PM

It is real airplane from some US air museum :)

Ram-bro 03-19-2014 07:38 PM

who ever said that , dont know scale

Ceeray 03-20-2014 08:03 AM

Looking really great and had to make my first post to RCU to say that !! (RCG is my forum..)

Will this plane have fully glassed wings too with scale details?

I definatedly will put this plane on my to-do list , and shipping inside EU is not too expensive either. Electric of course with sound systems!

And because I already think this as electric it would be nice if there would be a really good sized hatch hidden in front of canopy, just to change batteries. This sized plane would fly nicely with 10-12S 5000mAh packs , 2-2.5kW , 20" varioprop 3 blader.. (dreaming already..)

fokke 03-20-2014 08:37 AM

Yes Ceeray , the airplane will be great with an electric motor 2.5 - 3 kW for sure ! I think that electric power is the future in scale modeling.

Yes , all wings will be full composite with all details , rivets panels :)

Now I make nose panels , soon will put some pics

fokke 04-29-2014 10:39 AM

I am bck on main project.
I sinished the nose :
