I was lucky enough to see this beauty not too long ago at a full scale fly-in. Don't miss it if you get the chance, it's an amazing restoration. I was able to climb all the way through the plane,it was awesome!
Somewhere I've got some great hi DEF pictures and video. Casey |

I was there today to see it.totally AWESOME! One thing that surprised me was how quiet the engines were.It didn't seem to have the roar or rough sound I expected. Of course having a 45-50% hearing loss and wearing hearing aids might have something to do with my perception of it being quiet.I did not pop for the $400 ride even though my wife said I should.

Shoulda taken the ride. I got one on Texas Raiders last year. I will always remember that ride, was worth it to me. It was loud, smokey on startup, lots of vibration, and I loved every minute of it. My position was in the right side radio compartment during the flight. I tried to sneak back to the tail gunner position but they caught me.

I'm 6 foot tall, and let me tell ya....
It's VERY TIGHT back there.... It really made me think. The man that rode in that position, had a set of Titanium balls. Casey |

When I rode on ALuminum Overcast, I was surpised at how quiet it was. The other thing that really shocked me was how smooth the engines were. From listening a radial idle, I was expecting a drag car type vibration. After the first one started, you could not even tell when the other three were fired.
