I4C Stuka siren question ?
 

Can an I4C siren be taken apart so that it might be painted ? I'd like to spray paint it olive drab to match my Ziroli Stuka, but I don't want to gum up the inside. Please explain how it might be taken apart, and does it affect it's performance any when painted ? By performance, I mean Loudness. I have just purchased this I4C, and I'm a little concerned that it might not be loud enough to be heard over my DA-50, using a SlimLine muffler ?

It will be loud enough. I've heard them plenty loud over a G-62 using a Bennett exhaust box. Those things do nothing to quiet the engine. As for the paint, I don't know, maybe applied with a brush. That should keep it out of the internals.

I'd try to dust the paint on, using an air brush. let the paint set up between coats, so that it will adhere.

Like Edwin says, keep the paint out of the internals.
