Servo poll/question
Hi all,
I have been using hitec servos on all of my warbirds so far with only one fail, luckily it was an engine servo so no big deal. Looking for suggestions on what everybody is using/recommending. Thanks |
Futaba. No failures just wearing out. Dan.

Try Savox. I'm installing them in my 1/2 scale, 500in.oz. double ball bearing and metal gears. They are physically the same size as a standard servo and 1/2 the price of JR 8711.

Have used Hitec 615 , 645 since 2001 on my big warbirds, nothing bad to report. I have also used the heavy duty metal gear Airtronics with similar results. I don't waste my money on digital servos for warbirds, different if your flying IMAC or 3D.

Power HD LF series or Storm series.
I currently have LF-20's in my T-One jet after using them in a Boomerang and LF-13 in a Hangar 9 Valiant. |
Hitec and Spektrum.

I have been using H645 for years with no problem, and have been looking for a Chinese version but have come unstuck a few times with burn outs etc.
I have been using Power HD 13 KG servo's with success over the last few years also, with no failures. Recommended from a friend who had the same success with them. They are digital and i sometimes need the more precise movement that is better then H645 and no problems so far. HK. sells them also SDS hobby has a bigger selection H645 have become more expensive over the years as everybody gets on the band-waggon now they are around $40 A. |
Hitec !! never a worry. just do not over volt the analogs.30+yrs going strong.
