Looks great Tom. The install kit seems to make the job very easy. I will be interested to see how you deal with the cooling on this one. |
Hi Tom,
Cool build! I see the new pipe for the IL230 engine. Is that pipe compatible with the IL150 also? Thats the first time Ive seen a pipe for these engines. Looking forward to your build! |

Looking forward to your build! this is the silencer from the Galloping ghost/Strega. We make it fit for the spitfire. Also the plan is to offer the same silencer for the IL150 and Il155. |
Glad to see the exhaust diverted to the side opposite the carbs |

Support for the cowling ( will be cut in 2 parts because of the baffels), a layer of glass for the nose edge of the wing, and the fuel/smoke tanks with carbon holder

Looking great Tom, will be following along closely as I am building one too, although I'm powering mine with the IL155. Waiting patiently for Michael to build it and ship it out, as I ordered it through Andy back in November..
Regards, Gary |
Glad to hear that ! Your engine is already on its way to the US ! Tom |
Fantastic, Thanks Tom!
|
What size fuel tank should I use for the IL155 Tom? I generally use a 32oz (about 1 liter) tank for 2 strokes but, I'm not sure what the fuel consumption is for the Kolm engines.
Thanks! |
depends on your flying time :-)
i normally fly about 8 min. so with one liter you have plenty of fuel on board. i use 750ml for the 230 :-) and i have 500ml in voodoo for the IL150 |
Wow, looks like I can just put a 24oz tank in then. Thanks again Tom!
