WELL I FINALLY GOT SOME FLIGHTS ON MY YELLOW SPITFIRE. ONE WORD SOMES UP THE WHOLE THING WHOAA!!!!!!!!!!!
I PUT A 3W50I IN IT AFTER ASKING SOME OF YOU GUYS ABOUT POWER. IT CALLED FOR A G-38 . I THOUGHT IT SOUNDED ALITTLE WEAK. I CAN PULL INTO A HUGE LOOP AND STILL HAVE ALOT OF SPEED AT THE TOP . AWSOME ENGINES!! THROW YOU ZENOAHS AND BRISONS IN THE LAKE AND BUY A REAL ENGINE ! HEHEH
HOW MANY 50 CC ENGINES CAN FLY A 25LB. PLANE 109 MPH SWINGING A 22X10 PROP ! WELL THE SPIT HAS NO BAD HABITS BUT ONE. YOU CAN'T GET IT SLOWED DOWN VERY WELL WITHOUT FLAPS. THEY MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! THIS PLANE IS A KEEPER FOR SURE . I SEE YELLOW IS STILL WORKING ON GETTING THE P-40 ONLINE. I ALMOST CHOKED ON THE PRICE THOUGH. WELL ANYONE LOOKING TO DO A SPITFIRE SHOULD CONSIDER ONE OF THESE, YOU WON'T BE SORRY . FLY SAFE,FLYFUN

P.S. I'M LOOKING FOR ANOTHER 3W 60-70 i for trade.
check out my goldberg bipe on the airplanes for sale page

Hey warbird 1, Now you know what Ive been talkin about. The yellow spit is a blast to fly. You are right about the flaps tho, they really are needed. I have over 70 flights on mine now and still going strong.Powered by a 3w 60 turning a 22/12 prop. Nice job on yours, what did you use for paint?

evan ,
great pic man !! i used the chevron perfect paint. it was pretty nice to work with . the only drawback i have with it is if you open a can , you better use it all or it hardens up . how's your exaust been holding out? i had a custom one made for mine. thanks , ron

Hi Ron and Evan,
I couldn't take it any longer, had to buy a Yellow Spitfire also. Looking forward to building and flying it. I guess I'm going with gas also, do you have any other suggestions for engines? Ron,
I fixed the stab on the Corsair. Glued in 12 in. of 1/2 in. aluminum tube for the spar. You can stand on it now and won't break. LOL
Ron your plane looks awesome and Evan , we already know the kind of work you do. Talk to you soon.
