jack saved my but ! Heres the story. I build a tfgs p-47 4 years ago and flew it all the time. It was heavy at 30 lbs due to my first glass job. In a loop the wing joiner let go and i managed to land the plane with the wings flying off on landing. No damage to any of the on board equipment. I rebuilt the plane using monokote( dont freak out) and the new plane weighed 24 lbs.
Heres where jack comes in I was going to fly the bird on a 24 inch prop using my g-45 for power. Jack e-mailed me and told me to cut the prop down to 20In. I did so and the broAdest part of the blade is at the tip. I test flew this morning the p-47 was airborne at half power and at full it was mighty fast!!! I have so much power with this prop.
she tached out at 7600 and the maiden went off without a hitch. Now im putting guns and panel lines on

Thanks Jack that big prop may have done me in

Wow, a 24" prop on a little G45, good thing he said something, a good rule is to ask here before you do it. It costs nothing and saves you money.

The prop looks funny but it pulls like a b itch

If you really want a nice prop, try an 18x8-14...I run this on all of my G-45 warbirds.

trap door spiders? mate those are wussy cats, not even venomnous. Now the funnel web spider and the Taipan snake are a little different, both are the deadlisest of their kind. Oh and both inhabit suburbia so you have to watch out for your kids.

ok a pic of the new wife attached too - she also flies too!

mate she can fly anything! Yes she is a good sort isn't she, think i'll keep her hehehe ;)

Yes I lived on a property that was infested with the damn things - they are very agressive spiders and will rear up and attack without provocation.

Same for the Taipan
