Control surface covering ?

Hi all. I will be glassing a plane for the first time [ TF .60 size Spit ] and was wondering what to cover the control surfaces with. I don't think you glass them like the rest of the plane to help cut down on the weight in the tailend but what do you use?

All help appreciated Thanks P.J

RE: Control surface covering ?

any good open structure covering will work. i used Dave Brown Skyloft on mine. many have used Koverall but be careful as it shrinks alot and could warp the surfaces.

You could cover them with Solartex and paint them as usual.

I have been making mine solid with a 1/64 ply core center and sanded sheet or built up with 1/64 skins and sealed with thinned epoxy. If you want detail it can be masked and primed. Personaly I like a very thin trailing edge.
