Anyone with experience or thoughts about using pneumatic retracts as opposed to the servo retracts suggested with the ModelTech P-47 ARF. I'd like to go in that direction if at all possible.

I just installed a set of Century Jet retracts that were designed for the Top Flight P-47 in a customer's ModelTech P-47 ARF. You need to sand the inside of the mounting rails for the body of the retracts to fit. You also enlarge the wheel wells for the wheels. It took about an hour to complete the modification.

K,
What size wheel did you go with? so many have said the one's that come with it are too small for both scale look and function (on grass). can you go to a 3-31/4"? and how did you go about opning up the hole without losing structural integrity?

thanks
