Me 262 Stormbird
This has always been on my 'Must Do' list and I will eventually do one in either electric or (if I hit it rich) with turbines....in the meanwhile, those of you with a similar love for this most wicked warbird, enjoy.....

How lucky can some people get?
Thanks for the video. Saw in the new AMA mag today a pic of the small one Hobby Lobby's beginning to supply. Elec of course, and the engines/nacelles are WAY out of scale. Still, if you gotta have one in a hurry.... Sure do wish somebody'd kit a really good one. Around 90-100" sound about right?. Another excellent large-scale (105' wing span) kit is now being offered by Joseph Saitta of Seminole, Florida. Saitta's model is about 7% larger than conventional 1/5 scale kits, and weighs-in between 25 and 31 pounds in flight configuration. It is powered by turbines or ducted
fans (the first models used two .91's with props), and by all accounts flies great. Other features include: retractable gear and flap, full cockpit, built up wing (pre-cut wood parts), fiberglass fuselage, engine nacelles, and full size plans. Plug-in wings outside the nacelles. The current price of the kit is $880, including shipping within the USA. Saitta accepts Paypal, and can be reached via e-mail at [email protected] or mail at: Joseph Saitta 10672 94th Place North Seminole, FL 33772 Find a pic here: http://rcwarbirds.com/robs262page.htm |

The ad is down temporarily while they sort out a motor issue. Its made by fFlying Styro and took me about 4 nights to put together. 2 small electric fans with a 3300 lipo. Here is a pic of mine, flies great so far!
