engine question

what would a two stroke equivalent to a saito 80 be?? I HAVE A WING B-25 WITH 2 SAITO 80s im converting to electric. had an engine out and landed safely but dont wish to go through that again. LHS said the eflite 60 outrunner is equivalent to a 60 2 stroke and they told me that eould me the same as a saito 80 fs

RE: engine question

Most .91 4strokes are comparable to a .61 2 stroke, or slightly more powerful. The .80s are probably just a bit less that a .61 2 stroke. I would say you hobby shop guy is close.

RE: engine question

I think you're right in following there lead. That sounds about right on the 2 to 4 stroke power difference. Not sure on an electric equivalent... Good luck

RE: engine question

Hi before you decide to switch, check out the twin forum about a electronic engine sycronizer. It is a unit that automaticly balances your two engine to run the same. And with a flame out the running engine goes to idle instantly.check it out before you drop the big dollers on electrics.the unit cost around $119.00.
