What kind of BOMB RELEASE do I need for these?

Picked them up cheap at a swap meet. Might as well drop them from a warbird! Hopefully the release mechanism is still available.....

Look like the old Vortec units to me. Istill have a couple of them somewhere around my shop.

They are the Vortac, which is long out of bussiness. They do pop up for sale in the market Place or the bay from time to time. Top Flite used to make bombs and fuel tanks for the Gold Edition kits that also use the Vortac release. Good Luck, Dave

Let me look around and see what Ihave. It'll be the weekend before Ican get back to my shop tho. If Ido have them, I'm probasbly not gonna use them so I'll let 'em go.

Cheap? If you got them "cheap", you got a bargain. Usually ANYTHINGmade by Vortac goes for big buck$. If you want to sell them, drop me an e-mail with pics, describing everything that you have. I have drop mechanisms (not for sale/ intend to install on Top Flite P-47D) but could ude a few more items to drop (tanks, bombs).

Ihave two Vortac "Release Mechanism[s] Mk II "and two bombs if you're interested. All are new in (Ithink)the original plastic packs. Looks as if the releases were orginally sold individually in separate packs. One is still in its single pack. The other is in a pack w/ two Vortac bombs.
Ihave no idea what they're worth. The price on the packs is $6.98 US and I probably bought them sometime in the early 1980s. Just make me an offer.
