you guys use a lot of co2?? right...

I need to regulate the pressure from a disposeable co2 cartridge to blow the ballast in an rc sub... problem is that too high a pressure will literally "blow" the ballast tanks, I need to take the output down to around 50 - 100psi.

I have been fighting with the internet for days looking for info and parts for disposeable co2 cartridges... most importantly a regulator.... I have been pointed at paintball/airsoft supplies, but these guys are interested in higher velocity, not lower (like I am looking for (the lowest I found was 350psi out))

So if anyone can help:

Can anyone confirm the internal pressure of an 8, 12 and 16g cartridge? ( I have heard from 450psi up to 1500psi depending on the temperature)

Does anyone know where to buy, beg, borrow or steal a regulator capable of 50 - 100psi output from up to 1500psi input?

ANYTHING else will be useful to me, cartridge holders, peircing valves, etc..

please help.

It uses the larger Standard "Rock" Regulator"

We tried using the smaller "Micro Rock", and built our own piercing head out of stainless steel tube and a brass fitting. However the Micro rock does not maintain the down stream pressure(it has no relief valve). Once everything is pressurized, the Micro rock continues to bleed higher pressure into the system till a line bursts, or pops off a fitting.

Uni just steered you to the right source. The Palmer Rock the Boat comes in a model that threads directly to the CO2 cartidges, is relieving, and is adjustable pressure. I have a couple in combat vessels. They are a tad long (but shorter than any other solution I have found that uses disposable cartridges), but are extremely lightweight compared to other regulartors.
