i need to attach a picture, but i am not alowed :(

Hello, I have written a question, and it would be really helpful to attach an image to it, but it tells me that I have to have 10 posts to post urls.
but an image is necessary so often. asking 10 questions without needing pictures once is so unlikely..
Can I ask someone to grant me the capability of doing those things?
i know it has a reason, but i think, this rule is very limiting ;(
This is the second forum I am encountering this rule in, the first one was a forum for 3d artists, and this made even less sense, because pictures are literally all this forum was about.

-this was a reaction to an answer that is now gone for some reason-
Well, I guess I am a young people ;) and as everyone, I obviously want solutions for my problems as soon as possible.
but as with many things, the people who are not caring about being nice and respectful are making the life of the rest harder. :(
i often see answers in forums (and have done it myself a few times) that are written just for the sake of posting something and for the feeling of helping someone, or to show that you know something, but those kinds of answers most of the time, are not at all helpful for the questioner. I think those rules are encouraging people to post just this kind of posts.
so making 10 posts on a forum without being an expert in the topic or something like that, seems unreasonable to me.
(also, at first i didn't even realize that writing an answer to a question counts as one post, and you don't have to create 10 topics)
I do take much time with anything I write, to make it understandable and nice to read. I am sure, the reason why most young people don't have patience and profundity to do so, is because that is not what they are experiencing, they get urged to make visible progress FAST. and their feelings don't really matter.
but I digress.
anyways, i can't change the rules and you probably neither
and while writing this as my 5th post, it seems not this hard to get to 10 posts
bye.

Hi Janos, welcome to RCU! Understandably, you want information quickly. It is the internet, after all! We do have a posting threshold for new members, since spam has been an issue in the past and can arise at anytime. Unfortunately, we cannot lift restrictions on an individual basis, since the site setting does not allow that.

hello
i hope, you have seen the original answer because my reaction to it might sound out of place now, and just to clarify, my original question wasn't meant aggressive.

I tend to agree with janos139
Maybe ten is a little much.
I understand that rules are rules and the reason why this has been done.
As a new guy here hoping to make new friends, i see posting new topics with photos will help a lot.
If a member wanted to start a build log then that member will have to comment to other members posts (ten times) before that member will be able to post contribute something that will encourage and possibly help other members.
Martin.

I ran into a this limitation as well. I really wanted to post a youtube link in a post, but since I only had one or two posts, I wasn't allowed to post a link.
I really sympathize with the moderators for using this setting though. They are the volunteers feeling the workload month after month.
So now I've spent a couple of weeks, responding to a thread every couple of days. Maybe responding to threads I otherwise wouldn't have responded to, but tried to keep it useful to others. This one might bring me across the line.
