I have a VQ P-61 waiting for some engines. I've been considering the 120 sp. I'm going to need 2 of course. First, do you think this engine will be reliable enough for a twin? And second, any chance I can get a discount on the purchase of 2?
Thanks.
Thanks.

RE: sp120
Hi
Thanks for your interest in RCV engines. The RCV120SP should be able to power your VQ p-61. You will need to ensure that you have enough clearance for the larger propellers though. If you use 2-bladed props you will need 18x12 or 20x12. If it has enough power and you want to use 3-bladed propellers, the smallest size we would recommend is 15.75x13.
With regard to discounts, I am sure that one of the RCV dealers would give you a discount if you purchased 2. If you email me with your address I can identify one to contact - [email protected]
Best regards

Thanks so much! I am planning to try to use 4 bladed props like the full scale planes. I will check on the clearance, otherwise, do you think the 91's will work with this plane?

I thought that would be quite the setup myself. After seeing that black beauty, I just knew I needed to put that little jem on my short list. The RCV pinecone enging is just screaming out for that airplane.

If not the 91CD should also be fine for this model. It is at the lower end of the power the kit recommends, but I am sure it will be up to the job.
