Exhaust KMP P-38 Lightning
Laurenne, Is it possible to use a flex pipe straight from the head out for exhaust? Thought is OS Max or the like. My concern is pressure for the tank to feed the carb. These two engines are going into a KMP P-38.This is a beautiful model and I don't want to loose it to something like fuel starvation. What about a set of Perry pumps? Laurenne I am looking for the utmost reliability and consistent running. The engines will also have a Nelson Hobbies intelligent glow driver monitoring each cylinder. I have never owned an RCV engine, looking forward to running them. I have no idea what they sound like never heard one run. Any help would be appreciated. Sincerely, Chris L

RE: Exhaust KMP P-38 Lightning
Hi Chris
I have just replied to your email on this, but for other modellers interest RCV engines do not need exhaust pressure for running, so running a flexible pipe straight from the head of the exhaust should be fine.
Best regards
Laurenne

Laurenne, Thank you for the great customer service. I think I will be more comfortable with the added assistance of the muffler pressure(old school) I guess. Like I mentioned it's all about reliability.I went with a OS Max 90 degree elbow. M11*.75 thread. Worked like a dream.Thank you Christopher

Hi Chris
It looks like a great installation. I would love to receive some photos of the finished plane for our website.
