RCV engine for 1/5 scale biplane
I am building a 1/5 scale Great Lakes 2T-1A biplane from plans I have imported from the US (Norm Rosenstock), and the spec is as follows:
Biplane 64" span Wing area = 1080sq inches Flying weight 10 to 12lbs Recommended power = .90 to 1.2 FS This is not a model for flying in a wild 3-D manner, but a scale model for flying with some gentle aerobatics as and when. I would like to power it using a RCV91-CD rather than anything larger (to keep down the costs apart from anything!). Would the 91 is suitable for this model with the sort of flying described? I don't want a hot aerobatic 3-D ship, but I don't want it to be underpowered either. Many thanks. Morris |

Hi Morris
I have emailed you directly, but in reply to your post the 91CD would be ideal for this application. Many thanks Stephanie |
