Now that you guys mention weight, i must say that my volcano with all the aluminum installed feels at least 1 1/2 - 2 lbs heavier then with plastic parts[X(], i know the car is definetly a tank in the abuse department, but i still have to drive it to see how it handles with all the added weight.

finally received it, i haven't started yet, but let me tell you it looks awesome in the gray/black color scheme, all aluminum parts except for the front lower a arma which are plastic[&o], the rest seems pretty sturdy, except for the radio[:'(], you think that maybe in this price range they could offer a little better radio, i'll keep you posted on the performance

STRANGE! XP PRO doesn't seem to be available at redcatracing. Found it at rufaster.com!
Does anyone know why redcat isn't promoting this car? Just curious!

It seems they are working on realunching a new webpage, so they need to redo the whole thing and introduce the new car or cars?

Alot of people upgrade the radio's. Its normal to get a low quality radio. My brother in law, (chubbysuncle) got a new savage and he got a am radio also.

But it works! All RTR's go cheap somewhere. Most noob's don't let their cars get to far away to worry about range. AM' s are fine for close backyard bashing. As you get better with control and start going farther away you need to upgrade. My buddy @ work is getting a Pro as his first car. If you want a better radio buy a kit car or buy one and sell the one from the car before you use it. My Savage came with a Rotostart. Thats the first thing that got changed! Researched the HPI forum and found out they suck. I'll sell that on Ebay and buy another gallon of fuel or more parts from Chubbysdad! LOL

LOL, show me one stock RTR that isn't a Losi that comes with a radio that doesnt' deserve to be binned right away[&:]

I'm exaggerating, of course...but my years of high end rc radios have spoiled me, LOL.

Now, when I read PRO on a box, first thing that comes to mind is racing... hence the reason I clicked this link. Is Redcat tryin to attract racers?

I dont see anything that'd make it a "pro", except for its all aluminum.

kemo, the biggest issue from what I've read with the car is the overall durability of the suspension components.

Since I have yet to drive one, I can't say anything, but if they're comfortable with putting an SH .28 in it...then hell, it must have at least an ALRIGHT drivetrain, right?
