I rebuilt one with an HPI .15 cooling head, I had to adjust the spacer to bring the compression up but it worked great. I've also found it easier for me to just make my own on my lathe and mill that way i can have the compression where ever I want it, but that's not feesable for most people, lol, just a thought though, if you happen to have a lathe and mill lying around.

yeah I reckon other heads would fit. Have a look at these. Yes, pricey but just about the best engine heads available. I reckon one of these would fit.

you could try the os.18 cv-rx head it might fit on our engines since that motor is a direct fit in our cars

i thought i might have messed up the threads where the glow plug screws in to the head. It was hard to screw the glow plug into the head. so i checked the threads and they look fine. so everythings ok.

It's screwed, trust me very shortlly it will not be fine. I've had that happen a few times on these heads, it's that crappy 5 way wrench, I think it doesn't hold the glow plug right. I won't know exactally what parts I have from TST till I get back, but I think there was a head in the stuff not sure though.

The reason no one said Redcatracing is because you can't buy engine parts from them, only whole engines, chances are you will never be able to. Also for the rest of you I have rebuilt a few .18 engines with HPI .15 engine parts before. Con Rods pins are the same, con rods are shapped different but the pin ends mic to a perfect fit, sleeves work pistons work, and so on, heads also.

LOL, Wade, it's wade, lol. I'm not sure till I get the final Invoice slip with the stuff, on the original quote I think there was one or two, but I'm in Buffalo, NY right now and the info is on my PC in Texas. He should be able to use a HPI .15 head, will work fine but will need to purchase a shim set with it. Should be able to get it from tower or check out www.nitrohouse.com I think that's the URL.
