Default Pull Start Installation??

I am getting ready to swap out the broken pull start on my Tornado BB and am curious the best way to do so. The inside 2 screws look impossible to get to. Does anyone have any tricks or should I just pull the engine??

unfortunately you have to mesh the gears, which isnt a problem, but i dont like doing it as i sometimes wrongly mesh them.

I'm not too familiar with the bb I have a volcano, but if you can, I find it easier to just pull the whole rearend out as an assembly. You can then get to the inside screws much easier and don't have to mess with the mesh on the motor.

you might want to scribe the aluminum plate where the screws are. permanent marker sometimes gets worn off after running.
