earthquake 8e center diff problem

Got my earthquake 8e (thanks Kurt) and the center diff is rubbing the aluminum frame. The diff moves back and forth a little. Should I try to shim it or file the plate a little?

I thought the same thing on mine and I took some material out of the hole the gear pokes thru It was making a noise upon accel and I thought it was the gear hitting the opening but came to find out it was the front diff shredding the gears after I tried to take out a tree ,,,,,,,,, call Kurt and he can Help you out.

Shimmed it just a little to clear the bottom plate. All the diffs were dry. Do you have any suggestions on what diff grease to put in these?

I just filled mine with what I had. 5000 front/ 7000 center(would have rather put 10000 and 3000 in the rear. filled it almost full but since I filled them it pulls to the right under accel.... may need 10000 in the center. but could be alignment.

I also notices a better difference with 10,000 in the center but what you are running now should be good.

I have a locked diff from Kust also but on track it would push bad in the corners so I filled with 7000 but may put 10000 in.

I heard also at the track that does make the car push in corners I dont have any locked diffs for racing because you need the diff to adjustinsteadof giving power all the time which happens on a locked diff. If you are racing please lets us know how this works out for ya. Real glad it is great for you now.

Works great with some good Prolines on it but it pulls to the right real bad now but handles great and suprises some of the Team assc and Losi guys out there. just am still trying to dial in alignment and shocks.

First pavement run with diffs filled and wheelie bar on. This thing is fast on a set of blue lipo 30c 4000mah. No weird noises. Ran like a champ when I could keep it from flipping on its top  lol. Mine also pulls to the right under acceleration and I did put 10k in the rear and center and 3k in the front.

Iwould move to 2-3000 in rear that could be part of the reason it is pulling and go thicker in the center or get a locked center from Kurt@URCHobby

I agree 10,000 is too thick for the rear diff. Would go no higher then 6,000 for the rear.
