earthquake 8e center diff problem
Got my earthquake 8e (thanks Kurt) and the center diff is rubbing the aluminum frame. The diff moves back and forth a little. Should I try to shim it or file the plate a little?

What did you find out?

RE: earthquake 8e center diff problem
Shimmed it just a little to clear the bottom plate. All the diffs were dry. Do you have any suggestions on what diff grease to put in these?

I also notices a better difference with 10,000 in the center but what you are running now should be good.

ORIGINAL: billymare Kurt locked my center diff and what a difference!!</p> I have a locked diff from Kust also but on track it would push bad in the corners so I filled with 7000 but may put 10000 in. |
RE: earthquake 8e center diff problem
I heard also at the track that does make the car push in corners I dont have any locked diffs for racing because you need the diff to adjustinsteadof giving power all the time which happens on a locked diff. If you are racing please lets us know how this works out for ya. Real glad it is great for you now.

RE: earthquake 8e center diff problem
First pavement run with diffs filled and wheelie bar on. This thing is fast on a set of blue lipo 30c 4000mah. No weird noises. Ran like a champ when I could keep it from flipping on its top lol. Mine also pulls to the right under acceleration and I did put 10k in the rear and center and 3k in the front.

RE: earthquake 8e center diff problem
I agree 10,000 is too thick for the rear diff. Would go no higher then 6,000 for the rear.
