How do you clean your Backdraft 8E?

How do you clean your dusty Redcat?

I clean my waterproofed Traxxas with the hose, but the Redcats are far from being waterproof.

Start with a compressor and blow any lose dust off, motor, esc and servo and inside wheels included. Then and hard stuff i take a wettened toothbrush and knock it off and then take a towel wipe off any stubborn dust and bits. If covered heavly in mud i pull wheels and tires and put the nose or the back end in a wash sink , i got the hose attached to it and low pressure and warm water and just gently rinse off any mud.

Tires are exact copy of the "Proline Badland" that I found on eBay for cheaper:

It's those one on different wheels:

I'm trying to find where I bought my orange wheel... will get back here if I can remember.
I don't have any compressor but I'll try to do that with a can of Air Duster that I use for cleaning my computer.

Then I'll try to cover up the motor and esc before throwing some low pressure water on the buggy.

Thanks :)

Those cans of compressed air get pretty expensive. I'd look in to getting something like this:

My local discount store sells a range of 4 brushes for next to no money. 2 are wire and the other 2 are plastic.. The plastic are perfect for brushing off the worst of the mud and dirt after a bash.

Toothbrushes are ok to but I find the bristles to short.

I also use a old rag, canned air and GT85.
GT85 is a great product as after the oil dries it leaves a coating of PFTE on the car and stops any dirt from sticking to it. I coat all my new RC cars and parts with it before taking them out. That way most of the dirt just falls away and the rest the air gets rid of.

This thing is what I use. It is awesome!
You will find that you use it for other things around the house as well. Computer, TV, stereo, air conditioners, etc. Anything that needs to be dusted/blown out. The power is amazing.
