Wobbly Wheels!
Over time and use the wheels have become quite "wobbly" in the back. It is loose between the stub axle (http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/Redcat-Parts/02033)
and the rear hub carrier (http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/Redcat-Parts/02013). I have upgraded the rear hub carrier to aluminum, the hex wheel nuts are aluminum as well and the two axle sleeves do not appear to be worn or damaged. So what is causing the wheels to get so wobbly the truck looks like a beginner skater on ice?
|
RE: Wobbly Wheels!
I'm guessing it's slack between the stub axle and where the dogbone slides into the back of the cup. Mine do the same thing, but if you put pressure on the suspension it doesn't wobble as bad. I think it's normal as I have been to the local hs here and all their cars/trucks do it as well.

RE: Wobbly Wheels!
Can you get a CV joint instead to replace the dogbone setups

RE: Wobbly Wheels!
Have you check the bearings they can wear out and will make the wheels whobble.

RE: Wobbly Wheels!
I dont think they have bearings in a volcano or Caldera 10E, just a metal sleeve that goes inside the axle holder which does not appear worn, but that is where it is loose.
