bought a backdraft 8E!

I just scored a used backdraft 8e RTR with the lipos for $150. It could use a new body, but other than that it looks to be in good shape.
Too bad the weather up here sucks and snows on the ground.
But I will be waiting for spring to get the buggy out on the track!

You will love it. I love mine. The speed and power are amazing. It handles well.

I had the earthquake 8e last summer. I loved the power and speed...but it didnt handle well.
And the oversized tires put alot of stress on the diffs, and steering parts.
I feel the backdraft's smaller tires will cure what issues my earthquake had. I had even considered converting the E into a B. But then i used the brushless system in another model and sold it as a roller.
I know i couldnt go wrong for the price! The BL system alone is worth $80-$100.

It may actually be faster than i will need. If that turns out to be the case, i think ill use a jumper on 1 of the batt plugs and use a 3s lipo.

MIne was an earthquake 8e (Jan 2011) from when I got it until July of this year.

The oversized tires, wheelies and constant unintended flip drove me up the wall. Not to mention the ballooning tires.
I converted mine to a backdraft 8e. Now it handles great, on, dirt, sand and asphault.
No more wheelies, flip overs, etc. And speed, wow this thing is fast.

Or gear down? :)

I'm using a 15t with stock spur and it's stupid fast.

I'm thinking of getting a 12t for less speed.<br type="_moz" />

With a 12T that thing is going to launch out of the hole like a monster!

I'm using a 15t pinion and 46t spur in mine.
Is that a good thing?
