tornado steering problem
hello, sorry this is my first post, i wont have all the rc lingo yet. but i am hoping someone can help me.
i got my first rc car 3 weeks ago, the tornado s30. thing have been going great so far. i wrecked it pretty good the other day and now i cant get the steering to even out. basically what happens is that i cannot get the wheels to return to center. if i turn left, it they will not return to center then the car with drift left. if i turn right same problem. things ive done to try to fix this: i tightend the thumbscrew on the servo saver. i did this because i could tell that the bottom part of the servo saver was not turning all the way back. ive tried lengthening/shortening the arm comming directly off the servo. ive also tried lengthing/shortening the tire rods to reduce the effect of when the wheels will not return to center. that helped alittle but did not fix the problem.i dont know if i need a new server. any helpwould be great! thanks! |
RE: tornado steering problem
could be a stripped gear on the servo itself, usually you will hear a clicking noise but it also sounds like something is binding and holding it from returning to center, disconnect the servo horn from the servo and turn the wheels, see if you can feel something binding.

RE: tornado steering problem
ok i did that, it is definitely binding somewhere. trying to turn the wheels left/right seems more difficult than it should be. im not sure how to pin point it so im just going to tinker around with it. servo seems fine though. thanks for the advise!
