Binding replacement remote

My daughter dropped and broke her remote for her volcano 18. I ordered a replacement but can't find the bind button. Is there something I'm missing?

Looks like there are 2 versions of this truck .
One has a bind button on the transmitter - http://www.redcatracing.com/manuals/...8V2-MANUAL.pdf
One has a bind button on the receiver/esc - http://www.himotoracing.com/manual/HTX-243RES.pdf

I noticed that when I purchased the replacement. That it said "only for version 1". I didn't realize that there were two versions. My daughter's original remote had the bind button on top.

The one that broke had the bind button on top of the controller. I just noticed on my ESC, it says V2.
