Rapid blinking red light - Volcano 18

When i flip the switch to on, red light blinks 3 times and shuts off then starts blinking rapidly non-stop until i turn it back off.

Can someone please gelp me with this?

sounds like it may be in some sort of program mode. does it happen regardless of battery?

ordered a new battery, will try it out when it arrives. Ill update when i can
