breaking in
 
i was in the third tank with my volcano stx and it cut off and when it started i go to hit full throttle just to see something it will cut off

Check the clutch spring. See if it's broken. Check the FAQ thread.

Yeah in the FAQ thread check to make sure all your needles are in the right spot. It sounds like you may be running a little too rich. When you hit full throttle you may be flooding the engine. Or it could be the other way around and when you hit full throttle the engine starves for gas.

More than likly flooding the engine. It happened to me too. was wondering why it died once i started to hit 3/4 to full throttle.
Too much fuel!! engine get too cold when that much fuel is added and cannot egnite future fuel. hence stall.
if you wanted to test the theroy you could find a way to strap your glow starter on and try reaching full throttle again.
lmao. not what i suggest. lol. just my retarted friends idea to keep maximum oil cooling while breaking in a engine.
over kill in my books.

is the volcano stx is they 1 speed if it is can you change it to a 2 speed or thats not a good idea and where is the clutch spring at

sounds like it running to lean, most of the time an engine cuts out on top end when its too lean.
