Need Nitro gas
 

I went to my "local" hobby store tonight (hobby lobby) which is 45 minutes away, to get some 20% NITRO rc GAS. Well they did not have any. I have no idea what other places sell them, or where it is sold on the internet. If I canot find any as a last resort I was wondering if anybody on here would sell me some. Thanks.

Look for O'donnels if you can. Much better fuel for your motor.

O'donell's...hmmm...I still have half a gallon of the Blue Thunder, and I just bought a gallon of Sidewinder 20% racing grade. I have been trying to buy Top Fuel for my son's T-Maxx 'cause I heard it honestly does run better, but the LHS does not carry it, and he doesn't sell pints so I can try it...He told me the sidewinder is what he run's in his personal vehicles and that it's already got the after run in it...I haven't been overly impressed with it, but I think it's easier to tune.

I would recommend O Donnels fuel too. I ran 20% ODonnels and had no problems easy tune, no smell cool running. I switched to Trinity Monster 20% cause it was cheaper. Big mistake! I had to richen everything up to stay semi cool and keep from overheating. I had to tune every time I ran, and the stuff STINKS! leaves the taste of soap in your mouth! I guess from the castor oil but it's bad. I'm back to ODonnells! Get RTR if you can it's cheaper. I use the Racing Fuel ( all the LHS carries) but it's pretty much the same stuff.

i use Xtra Performance 25% pro pattern xtreme with 18% Klotz oil, i like Klotz, they make oil for real nitromethane powered racing cars\ATV's\Harleys\Sport Bikes\Dirt Bikes\Snomobiles and Boats ((most recommend using a racing engine only)), they got lots of different kinds of lubes for nitro r\c's, for better fuel cusomization, but i dont make my own fuels, im not intending to for some time too, but i just knoe i will one day.. i used to use top fuel..not so good. switched to odonnell with great luck. recently ran a couple of t-max's on the stuff and the owners (dad & brother) loved it. said they wher gunna switch. no smell and the trucks ran better.

Ok I just ordered a new tranny because I got a 46 tooth spur and toor the hell out of it. lol so I'm just buyin a whole tranny so I still got extra parts... but yea whats a good cheap 20% gallon of nitro fuel...

Check these guys out, feller. they're all within 50 miles of ya. if you get a gallon of fuel, you'll pay out the rump for hazmat charges and you'll have to buy 4 gallons just to make it worth your while.

And Cas, about the only cheap fuel is airplane or helicopter fuel (around $15 a gallon vs $25/gallon for car/boat fuel), and you don't want to run plane or heli fuel (way too much oil, not enough methanol, makes your stuff run hot)

I'm with CD/CU, O'donnell all the way for me (I also like Morgan Sidewinder and White Lightning)


OH, also-I know I may be partial, but I hate Traxxas fuel with a passion, jg, so you're not missing out on anything.

ok well I've been looking online and I seen the O'Donnell Racing fuel... looks like it would run very nice in my lightning... lol but 4 gallons of it is like $140... lol so I was just lookin for a gallon to play with the lightnin once a week... try and strech it and make it last... so what are some good fuels...

Would we be able to ship fuel to eachother if we absolutely had to? I don't know what kind of restrictions there would be on something like that. Obviously the stuff is pretty flammable and overall is pretty hazardous stuff.
I'd be more than willing to help some of you out with the fuel situation. My lhs is only about 10 mins away and they carry a pretty good selection of stuff including odonnels and morgans. I guess I'll have to look in to it.

lol wow man... what the hell is that all about? I can get 20% o'donnels for 20 bucks at my place. Hmm... or maybe it was 25... either way still a boat load cheaper.
I guess what I could do is change the label on the bottle to make it look like it was windshield wiper fluid or something like that... They'll never know :)

lol no... you have to mark it hazardous... so they can drive it and not fly it... I know because I had to send my cousin some fuel... but that would be funny... and I don't want both of us gettin trouble is the drivers ride blows up into flames... lol and I've been lookin at O'donnells... thats a fuel anyone can trust... I heard it runs great... but you mean 20 bucks for a gallon of r2r O'Donnells for 20 bucks ?...

Yeah, 20 something dollars for 20% odonnels. Hey pm me and we can work out the details and stuff. I'll be able to go to the shop a little after 7 tonight. So just let me know man.

Eric...I started out with blue thunder which is what my LHS suggested when we bought the Traxxas because they were out of what he would normally recommend...after deaming that a POS, and reading what I had about the Top Fuel on the Engine thread, I went back to LHS, they still didn't have it, but he suggested I use the Sidewinder, which is what he personally runs, but was out of when we got the traxxas...still wasn't having much luck with the traxxas, although was having better luck with mine, so I had finally mail ordered a quart of the top fuel to try on the traxxas, but haven't had time to run...So, I've got 1/2 gal of Blue Thunder, 3/4 gal of Sidewinder, and a Quart of the Top Fuel...and I don't plan on using the Top fuel or the Blue Thunder too much...

i know this dont help the first guy but i got a redcatracing tornado xp and i was wonderin if i should use a certain gas or that odonnells 20% one of u was talkin about

i've used sidewinder w/good results its the sidewinder backyard basher its what was reccomended to me its 20%

We dont get a lot of the fuels you guys get in the states. For me I am using massive mods hb444 25% and this stuff is the "ducks nuts" of fuels that I have ever used. Incredible stuff!
