do i have to buy strictly 27 mhz crystals or can i use other frenquinzes


I think i fried my reciever??????but not sure

Yes, you have to stick to 27 MHz unless you change over completely to a 75 MHz system...That's the radio frequency at which the signal travels...Look at it this way, You can't pick up an FM frequency on an AM radio...same deal...I have a bunch of old 75 MHz radio's but I can't use them with these systems...The whole electronic system is designed for a specific electrical frequency for the signals to travel...
