RE: HELP PLEASEEEEE

You need to check your throttle trim control on your controller and also adjust your idle.

wierd[sm=50_50.gif]. I would say thats a broken clutch spring, cause it dies when you use the brake but becasue of the wheels spinning, I think it is just the throttle trim like he said. hope you get it working.:D

RE: HELP PLEASEEEEE

when you apply the brakes can you look in the carb and see if closes completely when you apply the brake. if so you need to open the idle screw and set the trim more twards center or foreward. if it stay open then you need to replace the clutch spring.

RE: HELP PLEASEEEEE

Is your air filter on? This may sound silly, but I had the same problem when I first started mine and couldn't figure out why. I thought it was the clutch spring...NOPE, tried adjusting the idle scerw...STALLED. I was ready to throw it in the trash, but then (for some strange reason) I put the air filter back on, and guess what... All was good!! The only thing I could think of was that it was getting too much air and running rich causing this to happen. Could this be his problem??

RE: HELP PLEASEEEEE

I hope not! you can seriously screw up an engine in seconds running it without a filter but I hope you already know that. The idle definately shouldn't be behaving like that so if you can;t turn the idle down further I'd still look at the cutch.

RE: HELP PLEASEEEEE

I know that now!! This is my first nitro so I was following the Redcat manual, big mistake. It says to put a couple fo drops of fuel in the carb to prime it, so I did and left the filter off. Anyway, thats all I did and it solved the problem for me. Just a suggestion.
