Volcano sv

I am new to the rc world and have a new sv. The truck ran great until my first crash. A small rock got stuck in the diff gears and i replaced the gear box! After that i cant get the truck to start. I have not messed with any settings on the carb. Any ideas would be great!!!

plug is good then, did you fool with any of the needle settings? Did you break it in?

Didnt adjust any settings at all. I broke it in and ran about 6 or 7 tanks of gas befor i broke it. Prior to the rock in the gears the truck started with only 2-or 3 pulls max. it really ran good!!!

So i was reading another topic or forum on after run oil. I did put oil in after i crashed and never pulled the plug could this be the problem?

i dont think so, i am a little stumped, make sure the carburator has a little opening on it when you have the radio and car on, maybe something got a little moved when you changed the gear, did you lake the engine out?

So here is what i have found out. After puling the plug and checking for glow. i pulled the cord a few times and tried again. it still wouldnt go. i moved the th trim on the controler all the way open and it started (very high rpms) adjusted down to a slower idel and it died. The only way i can get it to start is if the trim is wide open. i am looking through other threds to see which needel it is i need to adjust unless someone knows off hand.

Adjust your idle screw so that the barrel in the carb is about 1mm open. The idle screw is just below the air filter.
