This one works, I know because I am using it and feel it's a good pullstarter - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...6&I=LXN412&P=K

RE: Volcano Pullstart

It's a nice pullstarter too, and on HPI's website they show you how to rebuild them (if necessary).

RE: Volcano Pullstart

the cord came out my current one i guess thats normal like the clutch spring breaking? or is it because i am pulling to hard or someting

RE: Volcano Pullstart

Pulling too hard, over extending it.

Check to be sure you aren't flooding things before you try to start it.

You can fix it, just pull it apart carefully ... search the forum for some tips, and look on HPI's website for their tips as well.

Are you sure that pullstart from towerhobbies will work on a stock volcano??

RE: Volcano Pullstart

the pull start from radcat dose not have a part # on it! i think this may be why redcat sends the wrong one for the VX .16 and .18

hope they can get this fixed

ok guys, to clarify, there are 2 pullstats for the vx.18, somewhere along the line, someone decided to change the backplates on them. there is a 1/4 difference in the bolt pattern, you need to measure which one you have and see which one to order, one is 1" from center of screw to center of screw, the other is 1 1/4

Eddie,,,
I have BOTH Back plates (2 Volcanoes) and I need a p/n for the Pullstart of the SMALL one. Or even better, The link for a rotostart Backplate for the small one.
If you already Posted it somewhere, I'd appreciate a link to that thread.......Thanks....

Here is the link for a roto start that will fit the BIG back plate...I use this one my oldest Volcano SV....
