Recoiling spring in pull start

Does anyone have any tips before I attempt to recoil the pull start?

Do it carefully!!!

But to be honest once I took mine apart and noticed it was not staying in the C groove/area in the middle, it never acted right so I just replaced it with the HPI Nitro Star one from TowerHobby, it was like $15 and works great!!!

replace it bro, dont fix it, it will only break again, if you want try, but order a new one.

I'm probably going to order a new one, but since Easter is coming up, I wouldn't get it for like a week and I can't wait that long.

Any LHS's sell HPI products near you?

Here is a guide to rebuilding an HPI pull starter - http://www.hpiracing.com/walkthroughs/psrebuild1.htm

Hope maybe that helps.
