starting trouble

well i can get it started but i cant get it to stay running. If i go full throttle it stalls, whether its steady throttle or all at once. i played with the mixture screw but i could not get it going. it was about 70-75 degrees out. if the trim was not up it would not start or stay running.

maybe you need a new glow plug, os a3 works great. 2-1/2 out on the high, flush with the collar on the low for the needles.

sorry forgot to say glow plug is perfect, took it out numerous times to check. manual says 1-1/2 turns out from closed position on thr mixture, how accurate is that.

if its the 1/10, 2 1/2 is more like it.

RE: starting trouble

Depending on which engine you have, you may need to start it at a low idle and let it warm up slowly, about 1 minute.
Advance the throttle slooowly . If that does not work richen the low end needle about 1/4 turn,or if it is air bleed carb you may have to turn your needle in a little. A good way to adjust a air bleed carb is to open the needle then insert a pin partly in the air hole and then gently turn needle in untill it contacs the pin, remove the pin then start engine. RE: starting trouble

theirs good and bad side affects on the rotostart the good thing is u dont have to keep yanking on the damn pullstart to get the car running the bad side is that u have to carry the rotostart every where u go with the car and u need a battery for it and if the rotostart is dead u can start your car
