RE: leaks

seal at the base of the carb and on the backplate, use a good engine sealant, rtv or something like that, you can get it from an autoparts strore. just be careful not to get it inside the engine.

dont do it if you dont need to. usually the sign of an engine air leak is running very lean and hot, you almost have to have it run so rich it barely runs at all. whats the temp when the engine quits on you?

RE: leaks

Get some copper gasket sealer and take the rear part of the engine off and smear a very very thin layer around where the oring kind of in the corner also you can take out the carb and smear a very small amount around where the O-ring is on the carb, also you can do the same thing with the head gasket. When I say thin I mean realy realy thin, you should be able to see through it like it's almost not even there.

it would help to clean where the seals would be

Oh ya, lol, clean the nitro oil and dirt off first or the gasket sealer won't stick, good lookin out BigMatt.

it doesnt get very hot it i dont have a temp gun but it takes a long time for water o boil off 5-6 seconds im not sure but isnt normal like 2-3 seconds... it might not be an air leak at all maybe im just overlooking something.....any ideas?

It might be running to rich and just flooding out.

i agree, you may be loading the carb up with fuel and it quits, try turning the tuning needles an 1/8 clockwise and see if that helps you out.
