Tornado BB shifting problems

When running my Tornado, it will run to high rpms then will not want to shift, it has even stalled once or twice when trying to shift. Some of the time it will shift fine, but others it sounds like it wants to hesitate or stall. Not sure if it is tuning or something to do with the clutch. I recently replaced the stock clutch shoes and spring with Traxxas, but it also did the same thing before the swap. Can anyone help?

Have you adj your shift point? Here is some pic's showing you how. Just turn the screw out a little bit at a time and I mean a little bit. You go to far and the grub screw will fall out and the check ball and spring will be gone.So in is shift later and out is shift sooner.

I tried that, but I didn't know which way to turn it. If the car is turned over and the back wheels are facing you, do you turn the bolt left or right to make it shift sooner?

You would turn it out, that means to the left so it will shift faster and turn it to the right that would be turning it in, makes it shift later or if you tighten it all the way in you will have only a first gear. Some time dirt or other things stop the shift. so you might want to turn the grub screw all the way in to the right and just snug it down don't force it tight. Then start turning it out try two turns first and see where it shifts at and then go from there.

yes you will need thread lock, use the blue, DO NOTuse the red. I put some blue on and let it set up some, then did my adjusting then I let it sit over night and have not had a problem with it moving since. hope this helps

be sure the clutch is tight on the shaft or it will spin freely and not shift
