RE: CLEANING

Take them apart and clean it with water . I take the servo tray and radio box off and the tires off too. And then clean the car with what ever you want I have been using a elcectric tooth brush and some other small brush's then make sure to dry it off very well with a compressor to blow it off very well. And then use WD40 and spay all of the moving parts. to make sure they get lubed and the WD get's rid of water that's left over. And you can go as far as to spray all of the plastic parts with WD and then wipe them down and it makes them look just like new and I think it makes it easy to clean it the next time. And you can spay the whole thing down with simple green and wash it of with water . There are all kids of ways to clean you ride. it is up to you and how you want it to look .

i buy wd40 by the gallon, i spray the whole car down and blow it off, looks like brand new when i am done. blow it off before you spray it down to get all the loose stuff off of it. you need a compressor or compressed air.

I also use wd40 and blow it off with compressor. Works great and looks like new. And no I dont take anything off. And when Im done I use a little electric cleaner to spray the brake off.

I basiclly do the same thing as Eric once month or once every other month. On a daily bassis I blow mine off with an air compressor. You shouldn't need to take anything off if you are just blowing it off with compressed air.

Most dirt doesn't just come off with air(at least in florida the sand is sticky lol). I spray the whole car down with wd40 and then blow off with air. Been working great for years.

RE: CLEANING

leave everything on, spray it down and blow it off, i usually blow it off first then spray it down and blow it off.

I am going to try the wd40. I never used it because I thought it would attract more dirt when you take it out next time. Guess I am thinking wrong. I alway used silicone spray but that does not lube up alot of stuff like wd40 would.

RE: CLEANING

just make sure you blow it off decently and you will be fine

I have a pretty big air compressor so I should be ok. I actually am going to try it tomorrow becuase after going to the track on tuesday there were a couple damp spots and my trucks are pretty packed with clay.

Here is some pics of my hurricane before and after cleaning and using wd40. It was not as dirty as my monsoon but I cleaned that already. Worked pretty good.

RE: CLEANING

For the tough dirt you can soak it over night with wd and spray it off the next day.

vnmsgt 09-27-2007 08:41 PM

RE: CLEANING

So your saying I do not have to use soap and water or still use that like I did today and they the wd40.

ehroof 09-27-2007 08:44 PM

RE: CLEANING

no, just spray down with wd40, wait a while and blow it off, blow it off initially before you spray it down with wd40 though

vnmsgt 09-27-2007 08:47 PM

RE: CLEANING
