RE: ANY IDEAS
make sure the fuel line is not clogger or the tank, prime the engine with a drop or 2 in the carb of fuel and see if it starts up. take the line off the pipe and off the carb and blow in it, make sure there is no clogs and fuel comes out.
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
the line is super clear ,when i cover the pipe with my finger, i can see the fuel going threw to the carb without any trouble,it's diffenitly not clogged
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
did you check to make sure the carb is a little open?
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
yeah ,the carb it a little open, i just got it to turn over twice for about 2 sec, i notice when i test my glow plug out of the truck i have to stick it in the glow plug starter really deep , i don't think it is allowing me to go that deep when the plug is in the truck , therefor it may not be getting a good spark, its a cheap battery type glow plug starter and its starting to look really wore out on the end, mayby i need a GOOD glow plug starter. what ya think?
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
its very possible, if its not making good contact the plug wont glow or glow hot enough. If you have fuel, compression, glow and air it should start.
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
Air?
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
if the carb is open its sucking in air, in order to have combustion you need air to allow the fuel to burn.:D
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
completely understand ,thanks ehroof ,im going to try a new glow plug starter
|
RE: ANY IDEAS

RE: ANY IDEAS

RE: ANY IDEAS
i just noticed that the manafold pipe coming of the side of the motor is very loose, and the gasket is torn , would this cause me to lose compression and ait flow?
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
it could cause you too loose pressure in the tank and fuel flow and make it run lean and hot.
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
yea thats your problem right there
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
ok, now car starts easy and runs ,but when i put it in the neutral position its still go's foward like it's idoled to high ,but i have the idol screw way out so it would be idoled low, what gives?
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
Did you replace the gasket or just tighten the screws down. If you didn't replace the gasket the chance that there is a broken or leaking spot is pretty high. A good rule of thumb would be to replace the gasket whenever the exhaust manifold is taken off or loosened up away from the engine. It may look good to you, but I can tell you that it's not and it will let air leak and not create the proper seal.
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
yeah i replaced the gasket with one u sent me , by the way thanks for the antenna works great , i don't know whats wrong with this thing i have tried everything i know, just can not seem to get it idoled down.

RE: ANY IDEAS
Pull your clutch bell off and check your spring, if the spring is broke it will cause your RC to move without any movement of the throttle. In the idle position the RC will move. So, this will be a good spot to check!!
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
oh oh , crazy21 your going above my head, how the heck do i pull the clutch bell ?
|
RE: ANY IDEAS
You will have to pull your motor out and the the front side of the there should be a screw(some motors have C clips). All you have to do it unscrew it and the clutch bell(drive gear) will come off. You will see your clutch plates and a spring. The spring should be holding the plates together, if the spring is broken then you will have to replace with a new one. This is a really common problem, so if it is broken it would be best to buy 2-3 extra springs or even if it's not you should still have spares of these.
