cold weather

It's starting to get cold here and is only gunna get worse for the winter. Anything I should know about adjusting the tune to compensate for colder air? I could be imagining things but it almost seems like my performance has dropped slightly once the engine warms up good. Kinda confusing tho, i would think cold air would be a good thing. I know guys with turbos on their real car get excited when it gets cold but whats it mean for us?

Richen that baby up!

Cold air is more dense and leans a nitro engine out if tuned for warm weather. Just experiment until you find that sweet spot and use a temp gauge to keep track.

Also if you are having a hard time keeping the engine warm in the cold winter months wrap the cooling head with aluminum foil.

arent you supposed to just wrap the bottom quarter or half with foil and not the whole thing right? I heard you can adjust the temp by how much foil you have on it too. Correct me if I am wrong, I have never done this, just heard about it.

Yes thanks for pointing that out. usually the bottom half of the cooling head. but it all depends on how cold it is. so you have to do some experimenting.
