Dont know what vehicle, but you could take off the top arm at the hub and it should come out

The front u joint is part of the stub shaft or spindle. You will have to remove the pin to seperate the u joint. These are not dog bones where they fit into the cups. Only 1 end fits into a cup and the other is the ujoint with spindle. You could remove the whole axle and straighten it.

Is that a smart idea......I mean if you pull the front left and right drive shafts off of a four wheel drive vehilce, and leave the front diff. drive shaft on. Your front diff. will still turn. And now the front diff. will turn without any weight or pressure being put on it. In my opinion that could result into burning up a front diff. You know kinda like jacking up your car putting the vehicle into drive. The rear wheels will spin a lot easier, taking the stress off of the rear diff. But running it at a high rpm, without any weight on the tires would result in possibly throwing out your rear end. Guess its not my buggy, but if it were me, I would just disconect the front diff drive shaft, and leave the two that run to the wheels in. Just an opinion.....

ive run my tsunami rear wheel drive lots of times, wont hurt it.

how did you manage to bend it? i know ive bent plenty of mine on the 1/10th car, and even if you bend it back it has been weakend and will eventually break...

RE: Crashed

I jumped it about 4 or 5 feet in the air and it landed right on the left tire, bent it all the way back around so the outside of the rim was facing the exhaust. And by the way, DO NOT pull out your front drive shaft and try to run an avalanche rear wheel drive. I knew it wouldnt be good to just pull out the front 2 dog bones and let the front diff run without any load on it so i took off the whole front end and pulled out the front drvie shaft. All was well untill I gave it some gas and the clutch slipped horribly. I'm 99% sure that if i had kept running it would have burnt up the clutch. I'm a little confused as to why it didnt work but it just didn't. I'll never attempt this again. And i did bend the dog bone back but I'll still buy new ones for it.
