Eddie, you, and youre family are in my thoughts and prayers. You help more people than you probably realize with our RC's, Getting them running right and all the techinical help. Update.... I spoke with Eddie today and everyone is in good spirits. Everything is going great with his wife. She is awake and alert. I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words. Eddie is spending all day at the hospital and doesn't have time to log on. (which I am sure you understand). I talk with him everyday and will give the updates as I get them.
He wants to thank everyone for thinking of him and his family.

just a quick update, she has all her motor skills, so there seems to be no brain damage, she does have a few smaller and one larger anurism on the other side of the brain and will need at least one more surgery, possibly monday. She will spend at least the next 2 weeks in the hospital but should be home for christmas. My wife had just started to finish her college education, she had a 4.0 gpa and was going to have her finals in the next couple of weeks, the reason i say this is because she was a full time student, took care of the kids, and cleaned and cooked for me and my family, i have much more appreciation for her now that she is not here with us at the moment, i dont know how she did it. You guys really need to step back and realize what your wives do and take it all in because i am totally lost without her around right now. Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts still guys, she has just a few more hurdles to clear.

Wow. Why is it its the nicest people that these things happen to? My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family, especially being the peak of the holiday season. I truely hope everything ends up ok and you and your family have a wonderful holiday this year and for years to come.

They say these things happen for a reason. I just hope everyone who reads this goes home and tells their family how much they love them, and appreciates every second they have with each other. Without them, nothing else matters.

Thanks again guys for all the nice words, she was doing a little better today but i had to tell her about the other anurisms she has, that was not an easy thing to do but she said she kinda already knew, she heard the doctors talking outside her room, she knows alot more about whats going on than what you would think considering her condition and how she looks right now, it takes a few seconds to get a reaction from her like when you ask a qustion or ask to hold her arms up but the attening neurologist said that is normal. I will find out more when i talk to the head of surgery tomorrow and see what he says about the other anurisms.

Thanks again guys, its 12/11/07, she is doing better, she ate today, she has no brain damage but she is a little beat up from the surgery still. She has to go for another surgery on thursday or friday. I told her that Dennis started a thread on rcu about it and that alot of the guys said hello and were praying and she gave a nice smile, she knows i am an rc/forum geek!!!! She isnt out of the woods yet but is on the road there. Hope all you guys are having fun and keep us in mind the next time your out running.

ooh thank god she did not have any brain dammage... and how bad was it and ware was it in her brain...

It was on the left side of the brain, they did what was called a clip, she has another one on the right side and couple of smaller ones. She will be going in for some lathroscopic testing, is what i think they call it, tomorrow. She is in the best hospital in NYC and has the top neurosurgeon there so we are in good hands. I will keep you guys informed.

If interested, here is a link from the hospital she in is that will explain what she had done, the had the open surgery done(clipping), hopefully the other ones can be taken car of using the other sugery they show.

I feel that everything is going to be ok and that you guys will have a great christmas. It sucks that it happened to someone so close to your heart and near the hollidays. My wife is my backbone and without her I dont know what I would do. We are all thinking about you and hoping for a speedy recovery. Im looking forward to meeting you guys in the spring. Bringing my ST1 and my sons Avalanche.
