Avalanche clutch help!

I am installing a sportwerks v2 in my sons avalanche but I have no clue on how to get teh clutch shoes off. I have tried and I dont want to break them. How do you guys do it?

Hi, 2 shoe clutchs pull off , 3 shoes u can use a metal pick or small flat head screw driver to pry the spring around the nut. Hope that helps.

That is the way I do it. Sometimes I just pry with a flathead from the bottom of the clutch shoe and the whole thing just pops off. Never broke a spring yet.
