Ebay store, no tax, free shipping, 90 bucks. I even found an ebay store thats based close enough to get one day shipping!

(It's a Team Losi 1/36 micro desert truck, I know this is redcat territory but I'd rather chat with you guys than the weeners in the other forums :) )

i was thinking of the 1/18 mini-t but how is it 1/36 scale is a little to small for me though looks good

RE: for non-avalanche days

For indoor use its just about right, its plenty fast. It's really only to play with when the weather is crappy or I'm outa nitro. So far it's doin its job great. Im sure the 1/18 scale is a blast to but your talkin a little more expensive, and it needs a little more room to get around. The 1/36 is great because its under 100 bucks! Now i want a Redcat 1/36 for half the price that can smoke the Losi! I mean thats not to much to ask is it? My Avalanche will do it!

the 1/18 is $10 more it's $100 and i don't think it would be to big for me. how do you think that would hold up jumping stairs in my house? want to try setting up a jump at the top of a flight of stairs and jumping it down so i can see how it holds up? lol don't have to if you don't want to. and yeah 1/36 redcat would be awsome i would get one for sure

I haven't gotten to rough with it but it feels pretty durable. Don't think I would be to comfortable with the ramp down the stairs. It would probably break something landing on a hard wood floor, carpet.....maybe.

lol yeah if you have hard wood floors at the end of your stairs not a good idea then that will brake somethin then. but hope you have fun with it on those boring days [8D]

Why did you have to post this?!?! Now I am about to spend $90 I don't have.

Take a peak at this video I found. That looks like too much fun.

Quick question on that car.... Do you have full range of motion in the steering or is it basically on or off when steering?? Same deal with the motor... does it have a speed controller that allows you to slowly roll on the throttle or is it all go or no go??

Yes you have full control. But do yourself a favor and get the lipo for it. These are a great seller in my store. I still have a b out 30 left. We race them in the parking lot, over jumps and everything. They even work on hard clay. They do take a beatin too. Right now I have them on sale for 79.99

I bought one of these (but it was the Hornet version) for my boy for Christmas. Looks like a fun buggy. I can't wait to play with it. I have had it out of the box and got scolded by my wife! It is not 1/36 or a Losi, but looks like a blast.

What would be the best hop up motor for it? Lipo?:)

Looks tempting. :D

7 mins or so stock, 20 mins or so lipo.

I really wish I had not looked at this thread....... Now I spent another $90 I didnt have. I just got back from my local hobby shop; i picked up the same Losi Micro Desert Truck.

Can't wait for this thing to finish charging.[sm=tongue_smile.gif]

**Update** This thing is a ton of fun!!!! It has plenty of power for indoor use and can take a decent beating. My main complaint would be the battery life, seems to last 5-10 minutes depending on how fast your driving. Other then that the only problem with it is that it doesnt say Radcat on it and cost $50.:)

I did see you mention that, I will look into it after the holidays if I have some extra cash. How much do you get for the replacement lipo battery and charger from your store??

Also, do you know if the micro t and micro buggy wheels/tires fit on the new micro desert truck??

See now Redcat needs some of those little buggers. Was watching some guys drive them around the other day at this place they looked like fun, but I have to wonder why not get an Xmod for way less with a lipo battery.

X-mods are way over rated and are a waste of money! Just my opinion [:'(]

40 for the battery and charger together. Also the bearing mod is great for the wheels. The Desert truck takes bigger tires. Of course the others will fit but the look wont be the same.

RE: for non-avalanche days

Wade, you have to get some for your new store. They sell like hot cakes. I have a demo in the store and it sells itself. I have about 12 demos now between heli's cars trucks and planes.

I agree rc.. about xmods.

I guess getting the lipo would be a good idea then.

How long does it take to charge the batteries, or would it be a better idea to get a couple of batteries?

I think I'm gonna get one too since I cannot run the redcats due to the weather
