Throttle Arm

Can you buy a replacement throttle arm for a VX .18 carb? I was getting crazy pull starting my car and it broke. Its the little plastic piece that the throttle linkage hooks up to on the carb. Or know how to make one? I tried to make one but it is not the best in the world. I found some for other engines but none for this one.

you would probably have to buy a carburator for it.

If you have problems starting your engine because the pull start is hard to pull its probably because its flooded and you have to yank really hard on it which eventually will break something. What I do is to loosen the glow plug till the pull start is easy to pull. I then put on the glow plug igniter and pull start the engine. After its running I quickly tighten up the glow plug.

RE: Throttle Arm

its not hard to pull, im a newbie and still dont really know how to get it started, i made the mistake of messing with the needles when i got it and now it is all messed up. i havent got a chance to play with it much this week since i have been working but i have a few things to try that people on here told me about. i tried the glow plug way and it is just to difficult for me to quickly tighten it back up, cause right now it is revving way to high, they said it was running to lean which it probably is cause i turned the low needle in all the way and only backed it out 2 or 3 turns. i will get it going soon. i just got anxsious and broke it.

i wish someone around here was on here so i could hook up with them and they can help me out.
